Warrior Crunch High Protein Bars Review

Warrior Crunch Bars are a high-protein, low-sugar, low-carb nutrition bar designed to help build muscle, maintain a lean and toned physique year-round, preserve muscle during weight loss and provide a convenient and clean source of quality nutrition.

We liked the sound of them, we’d heard good things about them…

So, we ordered some and put them to the test…

In this review, we will focus on the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter flavour and cover the main features, as well as share with you our own personal experience from ordering through to using them, before also taking a look at what other customers have to say about them, in order to give you as much accurate information as possible in case you decide to try them for yourself.

We will also tell you where to go to pick up your Warrior Crunch bars at the best price and with the fastest and most cost-effective, if not free home delivery.

First Impressions…

The bars were delivered quickly and came well packaged and intact.

The actual box containing the bars isn’t the strongest but it’s sufficient for what it has to do and the wrappers are pretty much what you would expect-industry standard.

The nutrition facts and ingredients are clearly displayed so you can see exactly what you’re getting in each bar.

Looking at the bars themselves, you can see that they have a knobbly chocolate coating that actually makes them look crunchy.

Nutrition…

Warrior Crunch bars are pretty good in our opinion in terms of nutrition.

Each 64g bar has 20g of protein, which is pretty much the standard amount you’ll find in most protein bars.

You also get 22g of carbs, of which less than 3g are impact carbs meaning they are broken down by the body for energy, the remaining 19g don’t have an effect on your blood sugar levels making these bars a good choice for weight control.

There’s also 11g of fat in each bar, of which only 6.3g saturates to keep things on the healthy side, along with 0.7g of sugars.

Dark Chocolate Peanut Crunch bars have 236 calories per bar too which makes them pretty versatile, however not much different to Grenade Carb Killa bars in this respect.

Crunch Bars also contain a small amount of salt, some soya, and gluten, and are ‘naturally sweetened with malitol which is an artificially produced sweetener’

What They’re Actually Like To Eat…

Take a bite and you can see that they are made up of a chocolate outer coating around a layer of crunchy bits in a caramel like layer, around a firm yet chewy centre.

They also smell chocolatey too, just like a regular chocolate bar.

When you bite into one of these bars you immediately hit the crunchy bits before getting to the softer centre and when you begin chewing the flavour comes out immediately.

In terms of the flavour, it’s pretty natural, the bars aren’t overly sweet and there’s no artificial aftertaste.

They are actually pretty delicious.

The chocolate outer coating does have a tendency to crumble away from the rest of the bar though when you take a bite so be prepared for that.

In terms of texture the bars are actually a mixture of crunchy and chewy and don’t just melt away into nothing in your mouth, nor do you have to almost break your jaws chewing them either, you actually get to chew, taste and enjoy them.

It also has to be said that if you have a bit of a sweet tooth, and not much will power you could end up munching your way through 2 or 3 of these bars as they really do taste pretty good and don’t fill you up too much, so be warned.

Side Effects…

None that we came across.

Warrior Crunch bars go down really well with no stomach upsets, bloating or excessive wind.

They are nice and light on the stomach too and don’t leave you feeling sluggish or anything like that after eating them.

Main Features…

  • 20 GRAMS OF PROTEIN PER BAR – That’s more than three whole eggs! Our bars are packed with high quality Protein to help muscles re-build and recover right after intense exercise or sports
  • LOW CARBS – Each crunch bar contains less than 3g of impact carbs, making them ideal for those following a Keto diet and looking to control weight gain
  • LOW SUGAR – With less than 3g of sugar, these High Protein bars help keep blood sugar levels low so you can maintain energy levels for longer
  • CHEWY CRISPY SNACK BAR – Made with crunchy crispy pieces covered in a triple layer of chocolate. High protein bars that taste as good as any other snack!
  • PACK OF 12 PROTEIN BARS – 12 individually wrapped, High Protein bars. Enjoy post-workout or as part of your chosen diet plan
  • Ingredients: Dark maltitol chocolate coating (31%) (cocoa mass, sweetener maltitol, cocoa butter, emulsifier soya lecithin, bourbon-vanilla), protein blend (milk protein, collagen hydrolysate, soya protein isolate), caramel layer with sweetener (18%) (sweetener maltitol, condensed milk, palm fat, humectant sorbitol, emulsifier mono and diglycerides of fatty acids, flavouring, water, salt, colour plain caramel), soya crispies (8.6%) (soya protein isolate, rice flour, barley malt extract (gluten), salt), humectant glycerol, water, palm fat, cocoa powder, flavouring, palm oil

As you can see above, Warrior Crunch bars contain a decent amount of protein at 20g per bar, which is at the top end of what you’ll find in other leading bars.

It’s a triple-protein-blend of milk protein, collagen hydrolysate and soya protein isolate and NOT a 100% whey protein meaning that gram for gram they don’t have the same nutritional content as a top protein powder.

One thing we really like about these bars is their really low carb and sugar content which makes them pretty versatile and means they can be slotted right into pretty much any diet, nutrition and training plan to support pretty much all fitness goals.

Absolutely no complaints whatsoever here about the taste either.

We’ve tried a few different flavours and really enjoyed them all, apart from just one-Raspberry Lemon Cheesecake.

Here’s how we rank them in terms of flavour…

  1. Milk Chocolate Coconut

  2. Salted Caramel

  3. White Chocolate Crisp

  4. Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter

That being said, in terms of tastiness there’s not really that much between them, they all taste pretty amazing and in our opinion certainly give Grenade’s Carb Killa bars a run for their money.

These bars do contain gluten, and they are sweetened with maltitol which is a sugar-alcohol and almost identical to sucrose.

And like most protein bars they come in boxes of 12 and are easy to take with you wherever you’re going for a quick and convenient protein hit whenever you need one.

When To Use…

You can use Warrior Crunch bars at pretty much any time of day you need some protein.

They are good to use pre-workout for some extra energy as well as to reduce muscle breakdown as you train.

You can use them after workouts In place of your usual go-to protein powder to kick-start recovery and growth, as well as in between meals as a healthy high-protein snack.

They are a fantastic source of protein-on-the-go for busy people.

You can also use them to replace meals as part of a weight management plan.

Who They’re For…

These bars are for anyone looking to boost their daily protein intake in order to repair and build new muscle.

They are also a great choice for anyone who wants to maintain an already lean and toned physique all year long.

If you’re looking to add some muscle without adding any fat Warrior Crunch bars can help you do that.

If you’re looking to drop a few pounds without losing any of your hard earned muscle, these bars are a good choice here too.

They are also a clean and healthy option for people who just need some quality protein on the run, they fit right into a ketogenic diet too.

Our Verdict…

We like these bars a lot.

They taste really good and natural. There’s no nasty aftertaste from them, or anything chemical about the flavour.

There’s also a decent amount of substance to them too. They don’t just dissolve in your mouth. Instead they’re crunch and chewy, firm but not hard like you would expect a decent chocolate bar to be.

They go down well too. Not heavy on the stomach and there’s no bloating, cramps or excessive wind either.

We also like that they have enough calories to be used to help with weight loss without losing muscle, and also for muscle gain without piling on the fat.

And we also feel that they’re pretty healthy too.

The downside…we would have preferred them to be gluten and soya free, however, we’ve tried quite a few of these bars and not suffered any adverse effects at all, and so we highly recommend to anyone looking for a high-quality, great tasting protein bar.
