So, those are the main features in a nutshell…here’s our full review…

Warrior Rage Pre-Workout Supplement Review…

Ordering And Delivery…

We picked up our Warrior Rage on Amazon.

Ordering was really easy as is pretty much the norm on Amazon, and it was with us a couple of days later.

It arrived fully intact and pretty well packaged so no complaints there.

First Impressions…

Everything looked good…the tub is decent quality…the cap fits nice and tightly so the powder stays fresh and dry and the tub is also security sealed too.

Warrior Rage Pre-Workout

The powder is fine and loose, no lumps or clumps and smells nice and fruity although we couldn’t help thinking the smell is a bit artificial…maybe it smells a little too sweet but that’s something that’s going to vary from person to person.

The tub has a pretty decent design with all the usual supplement facts, ingredients and directions for use so all-in-all it’s pretty standard.

Ingredients…

Not really many surprises here…

Warrior Rage Pre-Workout ingredients

The creatine is a creatine gluconate rather than the traditional creatine monohydrate.

It does have 1500 mg of instantized BCAA’s which you don’t find in all pre-workout powders and at 300 mg per serving it does contain a a hefty dose of caffeine.

Other than that it’s the usual suspects- beta-alanine, citrulline malate, taurine, AAKG and vitamin B6.

How It Mixes…

We had no problems at all mixing this stuff.

Warrior Rage Pre-Workout powder

The powder dissolves completely in just a few shakes to produce a non-gritty drink similar to a regular sports drink.

How It Tastes…

To be honest the taste of Warrior Rage isn’t all that impressive.

We’ve used this pre-workout before and seem to recalling it tasting better than it does now that it’s supposed to have been improved.

It’s got a slight fruit flavour to it however the taste is too weak to be able to determine what it actually is.

We wouldn’t say it tastes of blue raspberry the way that Applied Nutrition A.B.E does.

We also noticed a bit of a harsh aftertaste too this time around.

Side Effects…

Within a few minutes of drinking we had a headache building and rather than feeling energized, focused and ready to hit the gym we just felt drained, however this did pass after around 45 minutes.

We also experienced a really dry tongue which became pretty unpleasant and felt like sandpaper for most of the day.

We also suffered a pretty big energy crash around 4pm too which went on to last a few hours.

At this point we were beginning to think that we may have received a ‘faulty’ tub as we never experienced anything like this when using Warrior Rage previously.

Performance…

On the plus side our workouts when using Warrior Rage were pretty good indeed.

Once the initial side effects had passed we felt focused, energized and motivated.

We even managed to crank out a few extra reps which has led us to being able to add some extra weight to our lifts, and so maybe the initial side effects were worth having after all.

How To Take…

The manufacturers recommend mixing 1 scoop, or 8.7g of Warrior Rage with 250ml of cold water.

We weighed out a serving just to check the scoop accuracy and found that 1 level scoop actually weighed just 7.2g.

Once you’ve got the powder weighed out and added to the required amount of cold water in your shaker, just give it a good shake and that’s it.

When To Take…

Warrior recommend taking your Rage pre-workout around 20 minutes before training, and taking it ONLY on training days.

Who It’s For…

We would say that this particular pre-workout is for more hardcore lifters who are looking for a serious boost in energy, strength, endurance and focus during heavy and intense workouts.

We would NOT however recommend it to anyone who doesn’t tolerate caffeine well.

Existing Customer Opinion…

At the time of putting this review together Warrior Rage pre-workout powder is getting some pretty mixed reviews from existing buyers on Amazon.

Of the 300 ratings that have been left so far, 50% are rating it a 5 star product with another 19% giving it 4 stars indicating that the majority of them are pretty happy with it.

Some of the things they are most impressed with are the sheer strength of this stuff and the boost it’s giving them in the gym and the fact that it actually works!

They also like the value for money they feel they are getting with this stuff- it does contain more servings than most other well-known similar products, however a few of them do seem to agree with us on the taste, or lack of.

There are also some users who are rating Warrior Rage a 3 star product, or lower, and some of the things they have issues with are…

Again-the taste, some of them are even going so far as to say it tastes disgustiing, and others are saying that they just didn’t feel any effect from it at all and that there are better pre-workouts out there.

Others complain of severe headaches from using it however this could be because they don’t tolerate high dosages of caffeine well which is not the fault of the powder in our opinion. More the fault of the user for not doing their homework before purchasing.

Verdict…

Our verdict on Warrior Rage…we give it 4.7 out of 5.

Here’s what we like about it…

Price…

We like the price…especially when you consider that this one has 50% more servings than other similarly, and some higher priced pre-workout powders.

Value for money…

Again…this one has 45 servings as opposed to the standard 30 servings making it pretty good value for money at just £0.33 per serving.

Effectiveness…

In terms of effectively helping you get the job done, this one does exactly what it says on the tub.

We like the packaging and that it gets delivered pretty quickly.

The powder itself is also nice and loose with no clumps all the way to the bottom of the tub…plus it also smells pretty good too.

We like that it mixes really well and the powder completely dissolves to give you a smooth Gatorade like drink with no gritty bits and which goes down really easily.

In terms of performance, we like that it’s a great pre-workout for serious lifters who are following a serious lifting programme and who are looking for both a physical and mental boost during training.

And what we didn’t like…

The only thing which could be considered a drawback with this stuff as far as we are concerned is the taste.

We ordered the Blazin’ Blue Raz flavour and to be honest we had to try really hard to taste it…it just didn’t taste of anything much at all.

Overall though…Warrior Rage is a pretty decent pre-workout…it’s high in caffeine at 300mg per serving so bear that in mind when ordering or you’ll end up with the jitters if you don’t tolerate caffeine well, and more then likely a nasty energy crash later in the day..but it does get the job done.

Best Place To Buy Your Warrior Rage Pre-Workout…

To get your Warrior Rage at the best price we recommend buying on either Amazon or eBay.

The first place we suggest checking out is Amazon.

On Amazon you will find pretty much all the information you need on a particular product including some pretty detailed customer reviews along with a number of customer answered questions.

These should tell you pretty much all you need to know about the product to make a well informed buying decision.

Make a note of the price it’s being offered at, then go over to eBay and see if you can get a better deal there.

Amazon may also offer you a free trial subscription to Amazon Prime which means you’ll get it delivered the next day for free…you can always cancel after delivery without it costing you anything which is pretty good…plus the free trial lasts for a full 30 days even if you cancel after just a couple of days so you can have other items delivered free of charge too.

Best Alternative Choices…

If Warrior Rage sounds like it’s going to be too hardcore for you, we recommend checking out Applied Nutrition All Black Everything pre-workout powder.

A.B.E is our top choice of pre-workouts at the moment and has been for some time now as when it comes to providing the physical and mental boost that not only gets you through your workouts without leaving you feeling drained, it also gives you the focus and motivation to crank out those few extra reps which can make all the difference and see you powering through your personal bests.

We also experience an improved sense of well-being with this one and even the hardest sets were enjoyable as a result.

It also tastes pretty amazing too…the focus lasts until later in the day allowing you to get things done more efficiently, plus there’s no energy crash at all.

Another one that we really like and that is well worth checking out is Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Pre-Workout powder.

This one is another excellent choice as well as being Amazons current top choice of pre-workout powders and is well worth checking out.

As well as having effective doses of beta-alanine and citrulline it’s also got 175mg caffeine per serving along with a decent dose of creatine monohydrate, pus it’s also got a selection of energy boosting B- vitamins too.

On top of that you also get N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine for enhanced focus and alertness during workouts…

As well as Acetyl-L-Carnitine for supercharged fat burning during workouts as well as increased blood-flow to the working muscles and increased muscular endurance to help you crank out those extra reps and grow.

Bulk Pea Protein Isolate Review…A Good Alternative To Whey?

Our posts may contain affiliate links and if you make a purchase through one of those links we may earn a small commission from the vendor which goes towards the upkeep of this site and WON’T cost you a penny more.

Bulk Pea Protein Isolate Review

Welcome to our review of Bulk Pea Protein Isolate powder, which is a pretty good plant-based alternative to whey protein powder in terms of its amino-acid profile, and one which will be of interest to vegan and vegetarian athletes looking to add or maintain muscle mass.

On this page we will be sharing our complete experience from ordering and receiving it, right through using it, what other customers have to say about it, where to get the best deal on it, and more…

Ordering and Delivery…

We had no problems ordering our Bulk Pea Protein Isolate.

We picked it up on Amazon, got the size and flavour we wanted without any problems and we were all done in just a couple of clicks.

The item was delivered the following day which we liked, and it came nicely packaged and completely intact.

So no problems at all there.

First Impressions…

The pouch itself is pretty tough as we found out when tearing it open, the resealable strip is of decent quality and it easily outlasted the contents.

The pouch also has a pretty basic design on the front and the usual ingredients and nutrition facts on the back.

Bulk Pea Protein Isolate scoop

The powder itself is pretty thick and nice and loose all the way to the bottom of the pouch, with no lumps or clumps whatsoever.

We ordered banana flavour and the powder has a bit of a concentrated banana smell to it. It also smells quite sweet too. This product does come with a measuring scoop but we recommend checking out this article on scoop accuracy before relying on it to measure out the powder.

Nutrition…

Bulk Pea Protein Isolate nutrition

Nutritionally, Bulk Pea Protein Isolate is almost identical to whey protein and has the full complement of amino acids required for muscular recovery, growth and maintenance.

It also has a pretty high protein content at 78% and is low in carbs, sugar, and fat.

Plus it’s also free from gluten and any GMO’s.

How To Use It…

The manufacturers recommend mixing 1 scoop, which they say is approximately 30g, with 300ml of water, and to use 1-3 servings per day.

We recommend weighing out 30g on a set of cheap digital scales instead as scoops can be highly inaccurate, in this case, when we measured out 1 level scoop it weighed 39.5g!

So, as you can see, just measuring by the scoop will mean using more than you need and reduce the value for money of this pea protein powder by around 33%!

Mixing…

Once you’ve weighed out your powder and added it to your water, mix it with a fork.

Using a shaker cup will leave you with pretty much nothing but froth.

Bulk Pea Protein Isolate shake

Whereas mixing with a fork produces a nice smooth lump-free shake but without the frothy head.

Taste…

Bulk Pea Protein Isolate tastes pretty good at first.

In our case, it had a pleasant banana flavour, not too sweet and pretty natural tasting.

However, this was quickly followed by a pea flavoured aftertaste which to be honest isn’t particularly unpleasant but we would have preferred it without it.

We tried adding our pea protein isolate to our morning porridge instead of mixing it into a drink and found that when used like this there is no pea flavour aftertaste, just the banana flavour we wanted.

Side Effects…

We didn’t experience any at all, either from mixing it up as a drink or from adding it into our porridge.

There was no bloating or any digestive problems, no excessive wind and it doesn’t sit heavily on your stomach either making it great to use pre-workout for added energy and to protect against muscle catabolism during workouts.

When To Use It…

Because pea protein is so similar to whey protein and has an almost identical amino acid profile you can use it whenever you would normally use your regular whey protein powder.

It’s perfect for before and after workouts as well as at any other time of the day you need to get some protein to meet your daily requirements.

It’s also a fantastic choice for vegan and vegetarian athletes as it’s completely free from animal products too.

Who It’s For…

Bulk Pea Protein Isolate is for anyone who is looking to increase their daily protein intake to support muscle recovery and growth following workouts.

As mentioned above it will be of special interest to anyone following a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle, as well as those who are looking to substitute their whey protein powder supplement with an animal product-free alternative that has an almost identical amino-acid profile.

Customer Opinion…

To get both sides of the story we like to check out the customer feedback on Amazon.

Amazon actually verifies the reviews to make sure they are being left by genuine customers, and Amazon customers, as you may already know, do tend to tell it how it is.

So we went over to Amazon, where at the time of writing up this review, Bulk Pea Protein Isolate has an average customer feedback score of 4.1 out of 5 stars, and that’s from 950 reviews left so far.

Out of these reviews, 59% are 5 star, and a further 19% are 4 star showing that most of the people buying and using Bulk Pea Protein Isolate right now on Amazon are pretty happy with it.

The main things they seem to like are the price and the protein content.

A number of them are saying they prefer it to whey protein.

And some are saying that it’s great to use in recipes instead of as a smoothie.

A lot of the reviews seem to be for the unflavoured version, which we’ve used before and didn’t much care for the taste, and so it’s hard to find out what they think of any of the flavoured versions, apart from one we found who said they found it to be too sweet.

They also like the quality of the packaging and how quickly it was delivered.

There are some customers who aren’t as happy with it and who are giving it just 3 stars or less.

Their main issue is with the taste however they don’t specify which flavour they actually bought.

A small number of them are having trouble resealing the pouch.

And one customer is having digestive problems after using it.

So there you have a snapshot of what’s being said about it by existing customers.

On the whole, people are happy with it, however, we must at least half agree with what they are saying about the taste.

Click here to see all the customer feedback being left for this product on Amazon…

Our Verdict…

Firstly, we like that this product was delivered quickly and was well packaged and that it arrived intact.

We like pea protein powder and think it makes a great alternative to whey protein powders in terms of nutrition.

Granted, it doesn’t mix well in a shaker cup but when mixed with a fork it does produce a nice smoothie-style drink.

Bulk Pea Protein Isolate also has a bit of an acquired taste, we’ve had the unflavoured version before and it is pretty rank however you use it.

The banana flavour does actually taste of banana but it does have a pea flavoured aftertaste which some people may not like.

We mixed it into porridge though and it tasted fine.

Functionally we believe it to be every bit as good as whey, we noticed no loss in gains or performance while using it.

Our recommendation…

If you’re expecting it to taste as good as your whey protein shake you’re going to be disappointed so we’d say give it a miss.

If you’re looking for an animal product-free alternative to your regular whey protein powder and prepared to sacrifice taste we say give it a try.

If you’re looking for something to boost the protein content of your morning porridge this stuff is ideal.

The only thing we don’t like is the inaccuracy of the measuring scoop, however, this can be said of the majority of protein powders.

Main Features…

  • A highly soluble, premium quality pea protein shake
  • A high-quality source of protein for vegans and vegetarians, providing 24g of protein in a single 30g serving
  • 50% more soluble than other Pea Protein powders
  • Low in Sugar with 0.03g per serving, so you can pack in the protein with minimal extras
  • Available in a range of sizes and flavours

As stated above, Bulk Pea Protein Isolate is a highly soluble pea protein shake.

It dissolves completely and is best mixed with a fork to produce a smooth, lump-free smoothie-like drink.

Nutritionally it’s not that different from whey protein making it a really great plant-based alternative that will give you pretty much the same recovery and growth following workouts.

It’s low in sugar, carbs, and fat, as well as being completely gluten and lactose-free making it ideal for vegans, vegetarians, and people with food intolerances.

This one also comes in several different size pouches, the bigger you buy the cheaper you get it, plus it comes in a number of different flavours too.

We recommend a strong flavour such as chocolate for the best chance of masking the pea flavour aftertaste.

Where To Get The Best Deal…

To get your Bulk Pea Protein Isolate at the best available price we recommend first going over to Amazon and checking everything out to make absolutely sure it’s what you’re looking for.

We also recommend paying particular attention to the customer reviews to get a real feel for the product and to see how it is performing in the real world.

Once you’re happy, check the price and then head over to eBay and see if you can pick it up at a better price there.

Be sure to take any delivery charges into account too so you don’t end up spending more than you have to.

All the top sports supplement brands, and retailers seem to sell on these two platforms and you can usually pick up your supplements at a better price than you will find elsewhere.
